Zachary Robertson

Graphic design is a combination of visual content including an understanding of hierarchy and the ability to define a new way of design while upholding the core elements. I feel I am ready for the program while being enrolled at the University of South Alabama. I have achieved a greater understanding of not only art but the core design elements such as texture, space, color, and shape. Implementing these rules has helped me further my understanding when producing designs and has actively shown visual improvement. However, I understand I have much more to learn and practice if I wish to continue to see myself improve. The program is an essential part of my learning experience guiding me to be fluent in design not only because of my own perseverance but with the guidance of my professors and peers and the program. I intend to not only accomplish the journey to my degree but the journey of self-improvement every day. I hope to find work at a locally owned company and better myself with time and experience to one day work for a big corporation. Meta Design, Happy Cog, and The Chase are some of the companies I hope to work for in the future. My ultimate goal is to one day start my own company. I want to offer professional designs and the ability to provide people and companies with innovative designs to express themselves in ways that may be foreign to them.
